Eastern Cottontail Rabbit

Description:

This rabbit is predominately brown and gray. Legs are reddish brown and the underside is white. It has a white tail which gives its name. Ears are long and eyes are large.

Habitat:

Widely common in forests, edges of crop fields and brushy areas. Often found in suburban neighborhoods where there is satisfactory cover.
