Looking at those two, I believe it is Hesperis matronalis. Thanks for your help.

hard to determine because you can't see the leaves that well,
but i think its either:
Lunaria redivivia L. or Hesperis matronalis L.
both from the family of the Brassicaceae (Cruciferae)

I feel like it's some sort of phlox, but the flowers only have four petals.
