Plestiodon skiltonianus interparietalis
Bronze lizard with bright orange tail and throat. There are two light stripes running down the top. This species is known for the bright blue tail of the juveniles. This one can be confused with the Western Red-tailed Skink - Plestiodon"gilberti" rubricaudatus due to the tail coloring but the fourth image shows that there is a black stripe that extends past the rear leg, onto the tail. This is a characteristic of the Coronado Skink.
My father caught it under leaf litter. I quickly took photo's and placed it back where it was caught.
