Spotting

Habitat:

Deciduous patch of land. This cluster was found on the underside of a rotting log.

Notes:

I'm not too sharp with fungi, but have made it a goal this year to learn more of my local species. I've been doing some searching and this is perhaps something from Gymnopilus, possibly Gymnopilus spectabilis. I've been wanting to try spore printing, but wasn't prepared today.
