Description:

Plover family. Double black ring on neck. Two stripes across face meeting at the back. White underparts, white band on neck under chin. White eyebrow. Brown hood over head and brown back and wing. Long slender legs and straight bill. Rufous rump. Red eyering around large eyes. Nest is impression in gravel or dirt out in the open.

Habitat:

This one was found along a rural roadside.
