Hunting Wasp

Description:

This hunting wasp had already subdued a cricket nymph with the same size as its body when I spotted it. It may be from the family Pompilidae (Spider wasps). I first thought that it was Palmodes dimidiatus but the head region of the wasp that I saw was orange instead of black. This was the first time I saw one of these wasps preying on a cricket.

Habitat:

Urban area.
