yeah, fennel leaves are more feathery but they do have yellow flowers

I thought fennel at first too, from the flowers. I didn't realize until this website how many related plants have similar flowers.

it does look like it could be in the Apiaceae family, the flowers look like fennel. The leaves also remind me of actaea or astilbe.
