Glad, I could move the process of ID along a bit quicker. I believe it to be a Hermit Crab myself but, like I have already stated, I have never in my life seen one quite this big. I am thrilled you think so highly of my photos. I do everything I can to get high quality captures so I can try to make the often "Ordinary look Extraordinary"
Thank you very much, williefromwi! It seems to be a hermit crab. I am waiting a little bit to see if we get another opinion. Btw, your photos are fantastic!!!
Well, looks like we have an ID for you on your crab, ViorelFlorinSandu. I thought this might be a hermit crab, but frankly I had only seen very small versions of them. They used to be quite common as pets, and perhaps they still are. I however have never seen one even half this size.
Thank you, Stefania!
Stefania, it looked like a huge hermit crab to me as well, but I do not know crabs well enough to suggest that that is what this with any degree of certainty. Thanks for your thoughts and thanks for getting some more activity on this page so he gets an ID soon!
Well, I know it is some type of crab. Lets see if we can get some traffic on this page and get you an ID. A month without an ID is quite a long time. WE NEED AN ID ON THIS PEOPLE!!!
