Great Basin Collared Lizard

Crotaphytus bicinctores

Description:

Large spotted lizard with black stripes on its neck, and very bright orange spots near stripes. Greenish underside & feet.

Habitat:

Sonoran Desert, rocks.

Notes:

Photos taken by Betsy Purdum at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. According to Reptiles of Arizona, the orange dots indicate that it's a pregnant female. She definitely looks that way from the side!
