Ilex Opaca
Small plant with relatively large bright green leaves that have "spines" along their peripheries. Branches thin and inconspicuous.
Found in an area clustered with dry autumn leaves at the edge of a forest; exposed to the sunlight despite the shade of the trees. Also found directly in front of a tall log laid on the ground. Found in Northern United States
One of the leaves has two or three holes, and appears to have a light brown hue. Wikipedia Link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ilex_opaca EOL Link: http://eol.org/pages/582641/overview
