Based on descriptive info, specifically size - these were definitely in the 2 1/2' total height range - I am assigning Uvularia grandiflora. Thanks!
Or large-flowered bellwort, uvularia grandiflora. Hard to tell.
This is a bellwort. probably perfoliate bellwort- Uvularia perfoliata
