I have only seen a couple of Ruffed Grouse around where I live as most of them have been over hunted, but since this photo I have seen about 10 of these birds. This encounter was special as I was able to walk up to the bird 2 to 3 feet away and take over 50 photos and even a video. This hasn't happened since.
