Black Swallowtail

Papilio polyxenes

Description:

This butterfly was a bit hard to get a photo of as it would not stay still for more than a quick second. It was near my dill plants.

Notes:

This butterfly was a bit hard to get a photo of as it would not stay still for more than a quick second. It was near my dill plants. After a bit of research, I realize that I may have occasionally mistaken the caterpillar form for the tomato horn worm (turns into a hawk moth).
