Wild Flower

Description:

This small rock plant with round orange flowers was not at all common and was found growing in crevices in the sandstone cliffs. It is hard to imagine how it can survive in such a harsh environment, let alone produce flowers.

Habitat:

Upper W Rim Trail to Angel's Landing, Zion National Park, Utah.
