Ice Plant

Description:

An Ice Plant blossom, growing from a cliff side, above a small beach, at Natural Bridges State Beach. It may receive additional water from the housing development above the cliff.

Habitat:

Rocky, but not overly steep, cliff face

Notes:

Most blooms had faded at this time. This was one of the few late bloomers. Many of the leaves had a red tinge at the tips.
