Sherman's Fox Squirrel

Description:

The largest tree squirrel in North America. Though mostly brownish in color they do have blacker fur which occurs usually in the South.

Habitat:

Initially observed foraging in the open field of pasture land in a County preserve, it scurried off into the oak trees not far from where it was foraging.
