Bright green and colorful
This captive-bred day gecko was on display as part of a gecko exhibit at the National Geographic museum in Washington DC
Its natural habitat is the island of Madagascar and that shade of green is just amazing!!!
Keith, I've thought about this a bit and have moved it over to "other" and added more specific notes. I think we should try to reserve "pets" for household and domesticated critters. If we get a surge of zoo/museum specimens, we can consider creating a "zoo" category as well. Hope that makes sense! Thanks,
moved to pets
I used to keep Gold dust day gecko (Phelsuma laticauda) and Four Spot Day Gecko (Phelsuma quadriocellata quadriocellata); they were lots of fun to watch, especially if you put a live fly in their vivarium.
The vividness of the green is mind boggling.
