Rusty Tussock Moth (female)

Orgyia antiqua

Description:

Looks like a furry cocoon with a white moustache.

Habitat:

Fell out of a potted plant as I passed by. I first thought it was a cocoon of some kind but then I noticed its weakly waving legs. I held out a leaf and it clung on and I transferred it to a table top nearby where it remained passive without showing any signs of wanting to get away.

Gilma Jeannette Ospino Ferreira-Norman Thanks... and if you find something interesting, would you share with me? I'd like that very much. I know nothing about these creatures...I thought it was a pupa when I saw it first!

This is a very interesting find, I do not know much about Flightless Moth but I am going to research this creature, thank you for sharing, SukanyaDatta..... : )
