It is noted for its fern-like leaves and flamboyant display of flowers.it is grown as an ornamental tree. It is known as one of the Flame trees. Clusters of large scarlet flowers, and long pods.Flowers more profusely when slightly dry. Flowering season in Indian subcontinent (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh): April–June

Habitat:

On the road sides.

Notes:

It is a common flowering tree in India. I have seen it in Tripura too. In English it is given the name Royal Poinciana or Flamboyant.
