I found this strange insect in my fields. It is their mating season. The insect was about 1cm long, had compound eyes on stalks and two spines on thorax. In picture #3 if you look carefully at the distant eye you can see protecting barbs over it.

Crazy fly! Thought the eyes were the two grey spots on the thorax. Not only hammer-head sharks in the competition anymore.
