Ardea herodias
Blue heron skeleton. Amazing spot goes to my mother who found them, but let me photograph the bones. She's not as keen on playing with dead things as I am. First picture shows sternum, femur (directly above sternum), humerus (under femur, next to sternum), and tibiotarsus. Second picture sternum. Third picture wishbone. Fourth wing girdle, with both humerus, as well as coracoids and scapulas. Fifth shows vertebra (very uniquely shaped among birds), last picture has (from top to bottom) humerus, femur, tibiotarsus.
Small coastal island in bay. Found in shrubbery.
