Description:

This is an aquatic plant that blooms from May to July, it produces several bluish violet flowers on a stout stem among a basal cluster of sword-like leaves.

Habitat:

Swamps, marshes, ponds, and bogs throughout most of Minnesota.

Notes:

This plant was located near a shallow marsh pond, by Pine Lake.
