i think this more likely a juvenile red-tailed hawk based on the medium leg tufts, what i think is a dark belly band, dark leading patagials, and dark carpal commas. looks like it could have a scapular "V" too.

It's definitely not a red-tail! My best guess is red-shouldered...

I think it's a juvenile hawk because in the first picture the secondary feathers are lighter than the primary feathers which indicates a juvenile hawk.

That site never works for me. I just tried to see what it would come up with.
Osprey or Rough-legged Hawk which it is neither of those two. I know it's a hawk. But Red-tailed or Red-shouldered
