A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Project Noah Nature School
Typha angustifolia
Located on edge of slow moving section of river.
Spotted at Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge, Chippewa Picnic Area.
Common cattail is not invasive. It does become the dominant plant, but it is native. Narrow leaf cattail is the invasive creeper. It will smother everything's possibly can.
I know Cattails are invasive, but I still like them.
