Killarney Rock Tripe is a lichen formed by the combination of a fungi and algae. Lichen in general grows very slowly, and is very sensitive to air quality. Hence, an abundance and high variety of lichen is an indication of good air quality.

Very interesting and quite large ! they look moist - are they slippery to touch ?
