Wish I would've seen him myself, because, to me, it looks as if that is a mouth opening. It sure looks like he is eating well. If we were ever lucky enough to see him again, would u recommend keeping him out?
Unfortunately this is the only photo I have. I didn't personally see the fish, but my cousin took that picture. She threw him back in, so maybe one day we'll see him again. What is up with that mouth?
I am leaning toward Channel but it could be a Blue. Not a Flathead because the tail is not right. Maybe this will help if you still have the fish or better photos. http://www.serc.si.edu/labs/fish_invert_...
The invasive species would probably be the Walking Catfish and that doesn't look like one. Walking Catfish has long dorsal and anal fins. http://www.columbia.edu/itc/cerc/danoff-...

Thanks for all your help!
Up to you if you are planning to eat it. If not then put it back. It's not evasive.

Sukanya, nice catfish but it's no way near this one.

Yeah, the one I posted is a full pic. But, it's cropping it off for some reason.

Looks like some kind of Catfish. Possibly a Channel. Do you have a picture of the whole fish?
