I used a Panasonic for a while, as long as I did not use the zoom, the clarity was better. Maury and some of the others here at BugGuide helped me to improve my submissions by giving me hints, such as get close and don't use the zoom. Another hint, that is really helpful, is that in post processing, avoid the sharpen and work more with the shadows and highlights to enhance the photo to avoid pixelation. It is much easier to identify the organism with a clear image. I'm enjoying your submissions!
