Autolyca elena

Description:

Phasmida nymphs collected and raised to mature adult. I wanted to see for sure what species they would grow into as there are very few pictures and information on this species online. Nocturnal. They are not very active, but at night is when eat. Its taken almost 4 months since I found them for a couple to reach final instar.

Habitat:

Found on the side of forested walking trail in a park in Guatemala City. There were hundreds of them. Clusters of nymphs hanging on leaves.

Excellent series. They look great.
I find phasmids such difficult things to photograph due to depth of field.
Welcome to ProjectNoah.
