Fungi - Trametes versicolor ? Common name - Turkey Tail ?

Description:

Layered leathery clusters. Multi-colored, underside smooth and hairy zones. Irregular, thin and somewhat spoon-shaped.

Habitat:

Found on dry deciduous log. Growing in several small clusters.

Notes:

Spore print color - white

Thank you for your help, I have one that I am really puzzled with, the pictures are the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th on my page. On the 4th picture it shows two of the large fungi that broke open with the smaller one in the background, however before they did they looked like the close ups of pictures 2 and 3 wich is the smaller of the three. Hope you can help.

the underside of these little shelves should be white and covered with tiny pores (holes). If so, it's the Turkey-tail, Trametes versicolor. If the underside is truly smooth, and no pores at all are visible (even with a magnifying glass), then it's a parchment fungus, a Stereum; but it looks like Trametes versicolor to me.
