Huntsman Spider Molt

Heteropoda venatoria

Description:

They're pretty common around houses, sometimes even referred as house tarantulas. They feed mostly on cockroaches. The first photo shows the spider's molt, in order to grow they have to shed their hard-exterior exoskeleton through a process called molting.

Habitat:

Found in Asia, but have been introduced to other countries. They can be found from the countryside to the city, I commonly find them around the house or the bathroom.

Notes:

The first photo, which is a spider's molt measures around 10 cm and the last photo is a live one, around 7 cm.
