Shed Cicada Exoskeletons

Description:

Shed exoskeletons on grass stems and shrub branches.

Habitat:

Found on the edge of the river.

Notes:

There were dozens if not hundreds of these skeletons in a small area. As we traveled down the river the sound of cicadas was constant whenever we were near vegetation. The only live one I observed was the Apache Cicada I previously posted.
