Hypolimnas bolina
H. bolina is known for maternal care, with the females guarding leaves where eggs have been laid. Males are also very territorial and site fidelity increases with age. I just found this after I got some clothes for my overnight stay doing a thesis... and poof... those BLUE MARKINGS mesmerized me and just can't get enough of it... IT TOOK ME 80 SHOTS before it stayed in this position....
H. bolina is a fairly common butterfly found in lightly wooded country, deciduous forests, thick and moist scrub and the greener parts of human habitation.
