Description:

Fairly large turtle. Shell is perhaps six inches wide, maybe eight long. Red markings on sides of face, behind eyes.

Habitat:

Small storm drainage creek on our suburban property.

Notes:

Was digging in the gravel at the edge of the water. Preparing to lay eggs?
