Description:

Flamingos are pink birds with long thin legs and a long neck. They range from 47-57 inches in height. Also, they are very light and weigh from 4-6.5 pounds. Each wing is around 16 inches.

Habitat:

They live in saline lagoons. Also they can be found in muddy flats and shallow lakes. They like both salt and fresh water. Although flamingos can tolerate double the amount of salinity in ocean waters, but would prefer fresh water. Caribbean flamingos are found in tropical wetlands near the water.

Notes:

-They breed in the Bahamas, Cuba, Mexico, and Netherlands Antilles -Caribbean Flamingos have the richest pink color in their feathers -They have black feathers at the bottoms of their wings
