Brown Headed Cowbird Fledgling

Molothrus ater

Description:

This bird was foraging for food with an adult California Towhee. It seemed to be under the parental care of the Towhee. Inspite of it's size it appeared to be a baby. Does not resemble the local Lesser Gold Finches that are so common. The first thought that came to my mind is that it was a "Cow bird" baby.Any suggestions?

Habitat:

riparian.
