Reduvius personatus
The masked hunter is a curious oddity of a bug that occurs throughout the US and southern Canada. It was introduced from Europe. Both adults and nymphs are predators that feed on other insects including flies, carpet beetles, mealworms and bed bugs. The nymphs are covered with microscopic hairs which catch and hold dust, lint, and other small particles of debris. This camouflage helps the nymph to ambush prey, hence the common name, "masked hunter."

O pls do :) I think I have an ID on 60% of my spottings when I upload them. Off course I could take more time for my own reserach, but here are so many skilled ppl in different areas here in Noah. I let them do what they are good at, rather than storing the pics in the computer with "ID pending" for no one to enjoy. But you are righ, we all have to find what we are comfortable using noah for. Your spottings makes me want to see more from you :)
Thank you for your compliment, it means a lot to me!
I do tend to prefer uploading IDed spottings but should follow-up on your suggestion. I do have a number of unidentified stuff. I love your photographs. They are all great. You have a lot of unique stuff.
Yes, I noticed that all of your spottings were IDed! Does this mean you have a bunch of photos that you do not upload because you dont know what they are? I am sure there are a bunch of ppl that would love to support you in that :))) as well as ejoying more of your spotings :)
Thank you Tiz. I have been working at loading all my identified moth.
What a fantastic collection you have!!! :)
