Shield Bugs

Description:

Large, brown, 2 cm long Shield Bugs in groups together on the bushes. The last picture is of one of the nymphs which are much more brightly colored than the adults. Family Pentatomidae.

Habitat:

Heavy shrubbery along the highway between San Cristobal de Las Casas and Tuxtla Gutierrez, km 11.5, 865 meters.
