Description:

This is a new species to Grand Canyon, but there are now currently 3 nesting pairs near Grand Canyon Village area. This individual was terrifying rock squirrels and chipmunks. I only saw it catch a chipmunk.

Habitat:

Soaring along Grand Canyon's cliff tops, 7200'. Mixed Conifer Forest.
