Description:

One adult and many young (instars) i=on a milkweed plant. The adult has distinctive black and red-orange markings, while the instars are mostly red.

Habitat:

On a milkweed plant in a native garden adjacent to the Greer Environmental Science Center on the campus of Virginia Wesleyan University
