Sea Daffodil

Pancratium maritimum

The Sea Daffodil thrives across the dunes of ir-Ramla, a protected site on the Maltese island of Gozo. The large bulbs bury themselves deep into the sand and the new shoots make their way to the surface through naturally shifting sands. The pure white flowers release a delicate yet exotic scent in the evenings.
