Draba sp.

Description:

Small (10 cm high) solitary herb with basal leaves and two leaves on the flowering stem. All leaves are covered with white hairs. There are 8 species in the Genus Draba in Iceland. This one almost fits the description for D. norvegiva, but the flower here is single rather than a raceme.Help with further ID appreciated.

Habitat:

Open, rocky soil, with little vegetation apart from moss. Mountain side.

Thanks Jemma, I'm glad you enjoy seeing them. I still have an folder full of them; I'm almost done with the ones which are relatively easy to ID and left with the small cryptic ones :-)
