Weaver ants

Oecophylla smaragdina

Description:

These weaver ants captured a black ant and proceeded to dismember it and then took away the trophies to their nest. In the first photo you could notice the difference in head size!! Very fierce ants and great team work. Once ventured into their territory it is "no escape" to many an insect!
