Cool find! I am pretty sure this is a Mantis religiosa vs. Tenodera sinensis (Chinese Mantid). The Chinese Mantid has stripes on the face, where yours does not. The European Mantis has a large spot that is either black or white with a black rim on the inside of the front legs near the body (sometimes referred to as the armpit area). It looks like your mantis has that though there is no picture with the front legs apart.

Additionally, Chinese Mantids have a green edging on their wings when they are in brown form, like this:
