Description:

Very similar to the spotted dove Spilopelia chinensis, which is common in Kolkata, India, except that the collar of this bird bears a striped pattern and is not spotted. The pattern on the wings are also much more bold. The bird walks happily on the ground looking for food.

Habitat:

Ule Ethic Resort, Alchi Village on the banks of the River Indus. These birds were quite common. Foraging on the ground or sitting on the electric wires.
