Cicada nymph husks

Description:

Cicada nymphs, as they grow in size, must come out of their former exoskeleton, which they leave behind. These still hold the perfect shape of the smaller animal that once inhabited in them. I did not see the adults but heard them. They sound as a rattling submachine gun.
