Spotting

Description:

This tree is fifty to sixty feet tall. Diameter of trunk 3 feet above ground is 36 inches. Small red berries about the size of a pea are located singly along a small leaf stem. It is evergreen.

Habitat:

Residential neighborhood in Southeast Missouri.

I made the suggestion from the look of the corky/warty bark. Hackberry berries have a large seed and were dried and used for sweetening food. The leaf has a distinctive base, one side curves out larger than the other.
