Wolf's Milk

Lycogala epidendrum

Description:

It is often mistaken for a fungus but it is a slime mold. These appear as small cushion-like blobs measuring about 3–15 mm in diameter. The color is ranging from pinkish to grey. While new they are filled with fluid.

Habitat:

In the forest on a damp fallen tree.
