Description:

Small owl, 17-20 cm and weighing 68-147 gm. Eats mainly invertebrates but will take small birds and small vertebrates on occasion. Breeding season Aug-Nov, lays 2-4 eggs in tree cavity.

Open savanna to semi open woodland
