Red Squirrel

Description:

This squirrel has orange-red fur with light tan color on the stomach area. Red squirrels are 11-14 inches and much smaller than a gray squirrel.

Habitat:

Spotted at Tamarac Discovery Center sitting in a red pine tree. They like to eat the seeds from the pine cones and are territorial, chasing away gray squirrels.
