Must be some species of weevil

It is the same species. Sternuchopsis fabricii is a very variable beetle, with different forms. These are some variable forms linked below.

One small clarification. In your link, the inner pair of white stripes is equal in length when compared to outer pair. In above spotting it is short. Is it a ignorable difference to categorise it as a different species?
I looked at the Research gate link earlier today. The species Alcidodes karelinii is from parts of the Eastern Mediterranean and Middle Asia, not India. The only Indian representation that matches is Sternuchopsis fabricii. Both species look the same, but found in two different regions.
